Hey, wouldn't it be better to have a dog park TODAY? Just get a local fence company to throw something up (let them stick their logo on the fence as a free advertisement in exchange for donating the fence) and let's get this sucker open NOW rather than after waiting for $150K to show up. You can always perfect it later. If people's dogs get thirsty, they can either go home or bring their own water. We're from Austin and come to Shreveport once a month and would like to have a place to take our dogs NOW.

Anonymous, I wish it was that easy. If you have any connections with a fence company that would be willing to donate a fence let us know. The fence is our number one priority and the majority of the cost needed, the rest can come later. If we build it, they will come. We envy Austin, and are working hard to make this regional dog park a reality with more to come. Hang in there!

It's all good. As you can tell, we're VERY excited about the project. We'll keep an eye out for the fundraisers coming up, and my wife tells me she just started following y'all on Facebook. Thanks for trying so hard to get this done!!! :-)

Thanks for the words of encouragement! We do have a big fund raiser coming up, of which I'm sure your wife is aware. We hope to meet you on Jan 14 at our Wine and Beer Tasting with a BITE!
